Warrior Women look 2011Its official! The new look for women in 2011 is the WARRIOR WOMEN look! Cameron Diaz, Paris Hilton and other A list celebrities have ditched the waif like skinny framed look in favour of an athletic, toned feminine muscular frame. All I can say is – it’s about time! Vogue and the latest Cat walks are now sporting the bodies of warrior shaped women and clothes to hang from the athletic frames. What a great turnaround from the awful starvation look to a woman who looks strong fit and able to run, jump throw and fight! All my favourite activities! What I wonder is how they are going to change decades of institutional starvation within the fashion world.

The warrior women look should be achieved through decent quality nutrition, eating from clean sources with the right quantities of both protein and carbohydrates. Eating enough is important, without enough calories hard training becomes impossible, and it is hard training that will build decent hard feminine muscle. The warrior women look should be achieved through decent compound type exercises- Kettlebells are ideal. The compound exercises that can be conducted in circuit style fashion with the kettlebell will not only ramp up the metabolic rate to tear through calories and fat reserves but create hard dense muscle. As a woman you shouldn’t worry about bulking up with kettlebell training as you’ll get an excellent C.V workout to rip through the fat whilst the nature of Kettlebell training with its reliance on high rep compound lifts creates hard functional toned muscle not bulk.

Here’s an excellent workout for you all that’ll get you on your way to achieving the Warrior women look of 2011!

Kettlebell Swings 30 seconds Burpees 30 seconds (repeat 3 times)

30 seconds rest

Kettlebell Squat to Press 30 seconds then into kettlebell Snatches on the same arm for 30 seconds (repeat twice on each arm 4 minutes total)

30 seconds rest

3 minutes fast skipping

30 seconds rest

30 seconds of push ups followed by 30 seconds plank hold (repeat 3 times)

30 seconds rest

Alternate Kettlebell Clean and Press 30 seconds, Kettlebell squat 30 seconds (twice each side 4 minutes total)

Repeat this twice around and you’ll soon have the warrior women look in no time!
