After putting out a request to the masses asking which kettlebell lift they struggled the most with the answer came back- the turkish get up! I’ve always found the turkish get up to be one of my favourite lifts as I have always had pretty poor shoulder mobility- as a kid of 10 I couldn’t lift my arms above 10’o’clock! I’ve found the turkish get up has not only increased my shoulder flexibility but also my shoulder stability and massively improved my overall core strength. I still regularly like to practise the lift with the 32 kg and everyday with the 16kg. I’ve been noted for my strength whilst grappling and I feel this lift is one of the main reasons.
